Head Redbird in Charge - HRIC

Freddie Cooper, HRIC - I have been a Cardinal fance since 1968. Originally from Chicago IL, my first serious viewing of a baseball game was the World Series in 1968 featuring the Redbirds and the Detroit Tigers. Watching the games with my grandfather was something I'll never forget. He was an avid baseball fan and particularly liked Bob Gibson. After the Cardinals lost the series 4 games to 3, I was in love with the team.  Whenever I played pickup baseball in the neighborhood, I would emulate the pitching style of Gibson and the baserunning tactics of Lou Brock.  As the song says, "...Lord I was born a Cardinal fan...."

I currently reside in Atlanta GA, married to Amanda and have 3 children; Freddie III, Kayleigh and Connor.
